Secondary Glazing

Sometimes the only way to get the level of noise reduction that you want is to fit secondary glazing. This can often be problematical because, unlike modern windows in new houses, sash windows are usually fitted on the inside of the window. This means that secondary glazing often intrudes into the room, considerably compromising the look of your home.

What is it?

The SoundBlocker window is a discreet, secondary glazing panel specifically designed for sash windows which can reduce the noise entering your windows by up to 75%. The window is made of timber to match your existing windows, and is especially suitable for older properties where preserving the character and integrity of the original architecture is essential.

How it works

Magnets are fixed discreetly into the box surrounding your existing windows. The SoundBlocker window is simply placed onto the window sill and pushed flat against the window, where it is held securely in place by the magnets. Removing the SoundBlocker window merely involves pulling the panel away from the magnets and because the SoundBlocker window stacks flat it can be easily and conveniently stored away when not in use (e.g. under the bed).
